All Saints University alumni are actively practicing medicine in leading healthcare systems across North America, the United Kingdom, and beyond — proof that All Saints University opens doors globally.
03

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the 4-Year and 5-Year MD programs at All Saints University.

What is the difference between the 4-Year and 5-Year MD programs?
The 4-Year MD is designed for university or college graduates who already hold a Bachelor's degree in sciences (or equivalent). The 5-Year MD is designed for high school graduates — it includes 4 semesters of pre-medical coursework before progressing into the same MD curriculum. Both programs lead to the same MD degree.
Is a MCAT required for either program?
No. All Saints University does not require MCAT scores for admission to either the 4-Year or 5-Year MD program. We evaluate applicants holistically based on academic background, personal statement, and potential.
How long does each program take?
The 4-Year MD can be completed in as little as 3 years and 4 months. The 5-Year MD includes an additional 4 semesters (16 months) of Pre-Med coursework. Both programs include 5 semesters of Basic Medical Sciences on the Dominica campus followed by 72 weeks of clinical rotations.
Where do clinical rotations take place?
Clinical rotations are conducted at affiliated teaching hospitals in the United States, Canada, and other regions. This provides real-world clinical experience in North American healthcare systems and enhances your residency competitiveness.
Can I practice medicine in the US or Canada after graduating?
Yes. All Saints University's IAAR accreditation and ECFMG sponsorship allows graduates to sit USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, apply for US residency, and seek licensure in Canada, the UK, and internationally.
Are scholarships available for both programs?
Yes. All Saints University offers 20–50% scholarships for qualified students across both programs. Canadian students can also access provincial government funding such as Alberta Aid, OSAP and other provincial government students aid.
When can I start?
All Saints University has three annual intakes: January, May, and September. Our admissions team reviews every application personally and responds within 48 hours.
What is the Pre-Med program in the 5-Year MD?
The Pre-Med program consists of 4 semesters covering core sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) and introductory courses in English and Humanities. Successful completion leads to automatic progression into the Basic Medical Sciences (MD 1–5).
